The firm has a comprehensive business continuity plan that is not only designed to protect the health and safety of our employees, clients and community, but to ensure our continued operation and uninterrupted service to our clients.
Our firm’s office remains open. Our attorneys and our support staff are working on-site to promptly respond to you. Based on guidance from federal and state governmental authorities, the firm has decided to close its offices to visitors, except in emergency situations. If a face to face meeting is required, our attorneys will be available to visit you at your home or business. Even in the event of an office closure or other business disruption, the firm’s attorneys are equipped to work remotely in a technologically secure environment. Each attorney has the ability to remotely access into the firm’s computer system from their home laptop or desktop computer and to immediately receive any voice mail messages directly to their cell phone as though they were at their desk. Further, the firm has remote conference technology, which allows us to host video and audio conferences. As a result of these capabilities, the firm will be able to completely function in serving clients without interruption.
The firm is actively monitoring guidance provided by state and federal governmental agencies for best practices in handling the safety and health issues associated with this pandemic. All of us should regularly review the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention web page at www.cdc.gov. This website provides important information about COVID-19, how it spreads and its symptoms, as well as practices to minimize exposure to the virus. The more that you know, the more that you can help protect yourself and others.
The firm is also closely evaluating the legal issues that are rapidly changing as a result of this crisis, as well as the economic stimulus programs that are being implemented by state and federal governmental agencies to assist individuals and businesses. Our attorneys have been advising clients in ways to proactively respond to the challenges with this pandemic.
